Bone Essay
Choose one of the following topics to write about in an essay of 3-4 pages. Develop a thesis for your argument, and be sure to support it with evidence from the book.
1.Which character in Bone do you identify with most? Why?
2.What do you think “bone” means as a symbol in the novel?
3.How do the characters in Bone balance their individual vs. cultural identities?
4.How do perspectives on identity and nationality differ between generations of family members, particularly between those who are immigrants and those who are American-born (ABC-FOB)?
Essays should be 10-12 point font, double-spaced, and have margins no larger than 1”. You will also need to submit your essay to Turnitin.com.
